Avicenna Allied Health Institute Celebrates Graduate Recognition Event
Houston, Texas — October 27, 2026 — Avicenna Allied Health Institute, an initiative of the Ibn Sina Foundation, hosted its Graduate Recognition Event on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 11150 S. Wilcrest Drive in Houston, Texas.
The event recognized graduates from Avicenna Allied Health Institute’s allied health training programs and celebrated their commitment, persistence, and achievement. Graduates were honored for completing career-focused healthcare training designed to prepare them with the skills, confidence, and professional foundation needed to serve patients and communities. The students, staff and faculty were honored to have the Pakistan Consul General Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry in attendance. He greeted and congratulated the graduates and was honored by all in attendance.
Avicenna Allied Health Institute’s training model combines classroom instruction, online learning, hands-on skills practice, and exposure to real clinical environments. Through this approach, students are able to “Learn in a Working Clinic” while preparing for employment pathways in high-demand healthcare fields.
The October 27 event also acknowledged the partners, instructors, staff, and community supporters who helped students reach this milestone. Community and workforce partners played an important role in supporting recruitment, student success, clinical learning opportunities, externship pathways, and employment connections.
“We are proud to have recognized these graduates and the dedication they demonstrated throughout their training,” said Dr. David Brand, Institute Director of Avicenna Allied Health Institute. “This event was not only a celebration of individual achievement, but also a reflection of what is possible when education, healthcare, and community partners work together to create pathways to meaningful careers.” It is great that there was only standing room available as the ceremony began!
Avicenna Allied Health Institute continues to develop programs that prepare students for allied health roles while supporting the broader workforce needs of the greater Houston area. The Institute remains committed to helping students prepare, practice, and perform as they move from training into service.
